There will NOT be a special 12 bell practice on Wednesday 27th July as the local band have had one practice cancelled already this month.
The next 12 bell practice will be on Wednesday 28th September.
The full results for the eliminators are posted on the 12 bell website here. Despite their dedicated practice and excellent ringing, Hursley did not qualify for the finals this time.
All ringers and families are very welcome to join us for the Christchurch and Southampton District Carol Service at Christchurch Priory on December 5th at 4pm.
The service will be preceded by 2 hours of ringing starting at 2pm, and followed by teas in the church building next door. Parking is also behind the church.
Ringing as always – Rounds and call changes, whatever is requested, plus this time Stedman Triples/Caters/Cinques
The District 12 bell practice at Christchurch Priory on Saturday 10th of October will feature Grandsire Caters and Cinques as the special method. As always ringing will include Rounds and Call Changes (this time on up to 12 bells) with plenty of support from people to stand behind you when you need it, plus other methods by request.
Do listen to this video to inspire you – Grandsire Cinques is a glorious, tuneful method and absolutely worth the effort to learn.
If you can’t make it to Oxford on 28th June you can listen to the 12-bell final online. Information about the online broadcast, presented by MatthewTosh can be found on the website. Hear his trailer here. You can listen through YouTube Live here.
