Just to let you know there will be no ringing practice at St. Mary’s, Bramshott next Monday 5th November.
Practices will resume on Monday 12th November at 7.30 pm.
As always – visitors are most welcome!
All good wishes,
Due to an All Souls service being held in the church from 7pm, there will be no practice at Blackmoor on Friday November 2nd. Instead there will be a half muffled quarter peal rung beforehand.
Anyone wishing to visit will be most welcome on any other Friday.
There wil be no service ringing at Ringwood on Sunday 7th October 2018, due to a shortage of numbers this week.
Why not head to and visit a different tower and help out a fellow band, such as the heavy ring of 8 St. Peter’s Bournemouth, or a very light 6 at Sacred Heart. Do check the online calendar for notices before your journey though.
Due to the Alresford fair on October 11th. I have decided to cancel the Ropley practice, it was due to be held at Old Alresford. This will save a three mile detour.
Dear St. Peter’s Thursday night ringers,
Due to a concert being held within the church, there will be no practice at St. Peter’s Bournemouth, on Thursday 4th October 2018 at 7:30pm.
The following Thursday (11th October), Tim Kettle will be away, but practice night will still go ahead. Please let the tower secretary, Romy, know whether or not you are able to attend.
There will be no service ringing at Ringwood on Sunday 30th September, as services are being held elsewhere for this week.
There will be no general service ringing before Evensong this Sunday (16th September 2018). This is due to a pre-arranged quarter-peal that will be taking place, in place of usual service ringing.
The morning service ringing will take place as is usual.

Apologies for the short notice. Sudden lack of ringers.
Due to holidays etc. it has been decided to cancel this month’s 8 bell practice at Alton St. Lawrence.
We will start again on September 29th.
Sorry for any disappointment.
Throughout the remainder of August 2018, all Tuesday evening practices (7:30pm-9:00pm) usually held at Hinton, will instead be held at Sopley (7:30pm-9:00pm).
This is due to summer holidays/lack of ringers at Hinton to unlock etc, vs. more space/bells at Sopley, should any other tower bands and visiting ringers wish to come and join the Tuesday night practice. Everything from rounds and call changes upwards, to minor methods.
There will be learners from 6:45pm, but otherwise, the usual time of 7:30pm for everybody else. This is usually followed by drinks at The Woolpack afterwards.
All are welcome.
(For those that don’t know, Hinton and Sopley ‘share’ their towers. Hinton practices are USUALLY on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, alternating with Sopley on 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays).
Due to lack of ringers Thursday Practices at Netley on 2nd and 9th August have been cancelled.
Normal practice will be resumed on Thursday 16th August, hopefully with some support from our friends, all welcome.
Owing to most Island ringers volunteering to man the gates for the Chale Show over the weekend of 4th and 5th August there will be no ringing at All Saints, Ryde, during this weekend.
If you are visiting over that weekend and would like to ring at one of our towers please ensure you check with tower secretaries or tower captains beforehand as this will also apply to a lot of our towers.
Because a lot of ringers are busy or on holiday the decision has been taken to cancel this Monday’s (30th July) practice at the Minster at Newport as it is felt there will be not enough ringers to make a viable practice evening. Normal practice will take place next week (6th August).
Due to low numbers the above practice is cancelled.
It has been decided to cancel this month’s eight bell practice at Alton, St. Lawrence because too many people are away.
Sorry for any disappointment.
There will be no practice at Kings Worthy on Friday July 20th.
There will be no practice at Purbrook tomorrow 11th July.
This is due to a clash with the football and the likelyhood of the George Pub not having space for our post Ringing discussion!
Practice returns as normal 19:30 pm on Weds 19th. All welcome.
Due to the heat and the England semi-final match, there will be no practice held at either Hawkley or Selborne this week.
Visitors will always be welcome at any other time.
There will be NO Sunday Ringing during August, as the church are having joint services at St Micheals. Tuesday night practices will continue as usual.

Edwin Cole, tower captain at Chale, has informed us there will be no ringing practice this coming Thursday, 5th July.
I understand the Wight Mouse will still be open if you miss this and turn up but still fancy an afternoon sitting in their garden overlooking the coastline to Freshwater with a nice cooling drink in your hand! Sounds like a plan to me!
There will be no Beyond Bob Doubles on 27th of June since there is a District Practice at Brown Candover on that day.
