Please be advised that our next District Practice will be next week, on Tuesday 2nd July, and it will be at Sherfield English, which, if not the finest light eight in the Guild, is certainly one of the finest. Postcode is SO51 6FN, and there is parking on the other side of the road from the church.
I’ve attached a poster, so if you can bring it to the attention of all your band members I should be grateful.
Quite close by on the Romsey Road there is the Hatchet PH, if anyone is feeling thirsty, which if this weather carries on I would imagine is likely. Doom Bar, St Austell (Tribute, I presume) and Taylor’s Landlord on the engines.
Hope to see lots of you there.
Best wishes meanwhile,
Win. District Secretary
This month’s Beyond Bob Doubles will be at East Tytherley on the 26th June from 19:30, all welcome from the district and beyond. We shall be ringing Grandsire and Stedman Triples, and Little Bob Major, but other methods too depending on what people want.
There will be no practice at Romsey Abbey on Wednesday 26th June due to an event being held in the Abbey.
June’s monthly district practice sees us at St. Peter’s, Bournemouth (29.06.2019 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm).
Method of the month is Stedman Triples. General ringing from rounds and call changes upwards plus any method requests.
We look forward to welcoming you at St. Peter’s.
Peter Murdock-Saint & Tim Kettle
Parking is available in the near vicinity of the tower NCPs and road parking, but car’s parked within the church grounds do so at their own risk (monitored with parking passes by external company).

June District Practice
Please find attached the poster for the next Winchester District training morning, 9.30-11.30 on Saturday June 22nd.
Plain Bob Doubles, and its variant based on making places instead of dodging, Reverse Canterbury, are the foundation of almost everything we do in change-ringing, so once you can plain hunt these two methods are your essential next steps.
Hope to see lots of people at Stockbridge on the 22nd. Do be sure to let Jenny Watson know if you wish to come along to learn or to help.
All ringing at Holy Cross Binsted has been suspended pending faculty for minor repairs to the tenor, due to insistence of DAC bell advisor.
