Hi all,
I would imagine we’re all desperate to get back to normality.
We’ve made such good progress over the past few months we can look to be a little more ambitious this year and we’ll be building on the experience gained so far.
I’d like to have a last look at variations with Bluebell which is Grandsire doubles with Wallflower bobs and singles (plain lead of All Saints at single but with grandsire bob thirds at a bob with usual turrets at back- confused!). If anyone wants a try at variable treble bob doubles we could have another go – it’s good fun.
In the coming practices we’ll continue with touches of Stedman (maybe affecting 2 pairs), splicing doubles (eg plain bob,St Simons, St Martins,) and I think the time has come to look at some Minor – Little Bob Minor, Single Canterbury (sometimes referred to as Reverse Canterbury minor) – bobs as Reverse Canterbury unaffected in 5/6 and St Clement’s College Bob (bobs/singles as Bob minor). We may well need to refresh on Plain Bob minor first, though.
A busy first night, and obviously we’ll not be able to manage all this at one go , so it’ll form the basis for our forthcoming practices. If you have any particular requests please let me know.
Looking forward to seeing you all then,
Happy Bellringing New Year
Tim
