Further to my last as below, here – at last! – is the paperwork for next Saturday’s meeting in New Alresford.
Planning of the walk has not been straightforward, as it looks to me as though there has been some encroachment upon (and rendering impassable of) some of the public rights of way. Another consequence of …. no, don’t get me started.
Anyway, I’ll get the walking notes out anon, plus see to all the other things I should have done since May.
Best wishes meanwhile
The next quarterly meeting of the Winchester District will, as in previous years, comprise a gentle stroll round the lanes of Hampshire – specifically, from New Alresford, by a somewhat circuitous route, to Old Alresford, and then, back by a more direct route to New Alresford, where you can take afternoon tea/go for a pint/whatever, before returning home.
This will take place on the second Saturday in August, i.e. 11th August, and will follow the usual format of ringing, BYO picnic lunch and then the meeting, then the walk to Old Alresford for more ringing. By decision of the AGM this will be our last ever August meeting, so we/you need to make the most of it.
I am away from the office for a few days, hence this advance warning. I’ll send out the usual material on my return.
