Bells Ring in Shorwell to commemorate WW1 Fallen

A quarter peal was rung to remember with gratitude, and to honour, those Island ringers who died during WW1.

Private A.J. Hale, 81, 48th Regt., Canadian Militia –
died 29th June 1915 aged 26.
2nd Corporal W.J.C. Millgate 16495, 36th Coy.,
Royal Engineers – died 2nd September 1918 aged 29.
Private C.G. Petchey 202479, 2nd/4th Bn.,
Hampshire Regiment – died 11th May 1918 aged 29.
