Just a reminder that our annual practice at Winchester Cathedral is on Wednesday 3rd August from 7.30 – 9.00pm.
Whilst this is a great experience for ringers who don’t get much opportunity to ring on higher numbers, it is really important that there are plenty of more experienced ringers there. Not only to help keep the ringing more consistently paced, but also so that there is the possibility of ringing a method.
We’ll be meeting at 7.15pm under the Slype on the south side of the Cathedral, next to the Dean Garnier Garden. If you’re planning to park inside the Cathedral close then you will need a parking permit. A limited supply will be available once the door to the bell tower is open.
Non ringers who would like to see parts of the Cathedral not usually open to visitors are also welcome to join us.
I’ve attached a map of the cathedral and close for reference (below).
Look forward to seeing you there.
