RYDE, ALL SAINTS (IoW)
A recent visitor commented “Having good old dingdong at All Saints Ryde…..not been to their practice night in long time…….”
Our Bells*
We have eight bells, and the largest weighs 26 hundredweight. They were all cast by Taylors in 1886 at a time when the foundry was making great progress in tuning and installation, and are hung between oak beams in a metal “A” frame at the base of the spire. The bells were rehung and fitted with ball bearings in 1933. They are the heaviest eight on the Island (indeed, in the whole of the W&P Guild), although some (notably the 5th) have a reputation as being odd struck. The bells sound a bit shrill inside, but very nice outside. for more technical information please visit our Dove tower Page

Learning to ring at Ryde
We can always accommodate people who want to learn to ring – the young people we teach keep going off to the mainland for University so we always need replacements! Our training programme has also been a great success with some mature learners recently. Contact John Stock if you want to discuss learning to ring. We welcome ringers of all faiths or none.
If you would like more information, please contact John Stock, or pay a visit to our Facebook Group
