Surprise Major Practices in the Hawkley/Selbourne area

We have recently organised a number of Surprise Major Practices in the Hawkley/Selborne area to give more opportunities to ring these methods…..I am pleased to say that these have been really well supported and enjoyed, and so a further six Practices have been organised.
The first of these will be on:
Saturday 28th June, 6:30-8:00pm at Petersfield (and afterwards at The Square Brewery Pub for those that would like to stay and chat!)
If Rutland and Bristol fall within your repertoire, please do look these up in advance.
The remaining dates till the end of the year will be as follows (tower venues to be confirmed shortly):
Saturday 19th July 6:30-8:00pm
Saturday 23rd August 6:30-8:00pm
Saturday 27th September 6:30-8:00pm
Saturday 25th October 6:30-8:00pm
Saturday 29th November 6:30-8:00pm
These Practices welcome anyone who can attempt Surprise Major, and those who would like experience at ringing the Treble. It’s a really friendly Practice, so please don’t feel intimidated and come along to gain more experience of these methods.
We usually ring Cambridge, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & Superlative, with any of the other Standard Eight and Spliced if there are enough.
We really appreciate support from experienced ringers to allow those new to Surprise Major to take their first steps into it, and to ring the more complex methods.
Please email me if you need any further info, or if you would like to ring something in particular that we could advertise in advance to ensure we were all learning the same method!
Look forward to seeing you there!
